Dirty Pretty Things foi uma banda de rock inglesa liderada por Carl Barât, ex-integrante da banda The Libertines. Didz Hammond anunciou que estava deixando a sua banda Cooper Temple Clause para se juntar à banda, da mesma forma que o ex-baterista dos Libertines Gary Powell e o Guitarrista Anthony Rossmando, que havia substituido Doherty antes que esse saísse definitivamente dos Libertines.
Inicialmente, o nome da banda causou alguns problemas.
