VERSE 1: AmDGCC/B Well this is horror show time in the heart of the Pacific AmDGCC/B The French and the cavalry are dealing deadly wares AmDGCC/B And you can stand back in anger or totally despair AmDGCC/BAm Or you can raise your voices up, maybe move some air
CHORUS: DGC Maybe the rain will wash your tears away DEm Into the stream with autumn leaves CC/BC/AG That some other spring may grow CC/BC/AG Sometime some other spring may grow DGC Maybe the rain will wash your poison hands DEm Into the open belly of the ocean wide CC/BC/AG That some other child may grow CC/BC/AG Sometime some other child may grow
VERSE 2: There is no getting out of this - the damage is horrific And while they're tattooing chromosomes from Bikini to the Marshall Islands They make your front yard a urinal, during R&R Well this is some kind of suicide, beyond the mere bizzare
CHORUS (repeat last line)
ENDING: DGDGDGDG Maybe the rain, maybe the rain, maybe the rain
