Muito antes de se juntar ao Alexisonfire, Dallas Green (nascido em 29 de setembro de 1980, em St. Catharines, Ontario, Canadá) já tinha composições feitas e gravadas durante sua adolescência e essas foram passando de mão em mão entre os primeiros fãs. Após a banda ser reconhecida, de tanto os fãs perguntarem quando ele lançaria um CD próprio, finalmente, em 2004, com o nome de City And Colour (que faz referência ao seu verdadeiro nome)
