Biografia:
CHVRCHES ("churches") é uma banda escocesa de electropop de Glasgow, Escócia, formada em 2011. O grupo é formado por Lauren Mayberry (vocais principais, ocasionalmente sintetizadores), Iain Cook (synths, guitarra, baixo, vocais) e Martin Doherty (synths, samplers, vocais).
Antes de CHVRCHES, Iain Cook foi um membro do Aereogramme e The Unwinding Hours. Martin Doherty foi um membro do The Twilight Sad. Lauren Mayberry foi membro de duas bandas locais, Boyfriend/Girlfriend e depois Blue Sky Archives.
