Carole King, pseudônimo de Carole Klein (9 de Fevereiro de 1942, Brooklyn, Nova Iorque) é uma cantora e compositora dos Estados Unidos da América.
Carole King nasceu em 1942, no Brooklyn, Nova York. Desde nova começou a estudar piano e começou a cantar em um quarteto vocal chamado The Co-Sines no colégiol James Madison.
Ao mudar de escola para o Queens College, virou companheira de sala de Neil Sedaka, que dedicou a ela a a famosa canção "Oh, Carol". Na mesma escola fez amizade com Paul Simon e Gerry Goffin.
