Calexico é uma banda indie-rock originada em Tucson, Arizona., conhecida pela sua variedade eclética. Seus dois principais componentes são Joey Burns e John Convertino, que tocaram juntos pela primeira vez em Los Angeles como parte do grupo Giant Sand. Eles gravaram alguns álbuns no Quarterstick Records, enquanto seu album de 2005 In the Reins, que contou com a coloboração de Iron & Wine, alcançava a Billboard. Burns e Convertino colaboraram também com Lisa Germano e Howe Gelb no OP8, complilando também o album Slush em 1997.
