William Martin Joel, conhecido como Billy Joel (Hicksville, 9 de maio de 1949), é um cantor e pianista norte-americano.
Conhecido como The Piano Man, Billy Joel manteve um grande sucesso por duas décadas, mesmo se recusando a seguir as exigências de sua gravadora, que queria somente material comercial. O primeiro êxito do cantor foi "Captain Jack", que rendeu um contrato longo com a Columbia Records.
