Alexander David Turner, mais conhecido como Alex Turner, nascido no dia 6 de Janeiro de 1986, é o vocalista, compositor e guitarrista da banda Arctic Monkeys. Juntamente com Jamie e Matt Helders, Alex freqüentou a Stockbridge High School. Ganhou sua primeira guitarra no natal em 2001. Turner trabalhou em um bar onde bandas desconhecidas faziam pequenos shows. Ele diz: “Realmente me irritava quando bandas vinham e diziam ‘nós temos CDs lá atrás para vender, 3 libras cada’, você pensa ‘Foda-se, quem vocês pensam que são?’”.
