Sam Cooke (22 de janeiro de 1931 – 11 de dezembro de 1964) foi um artista, cantor e empresário estadounidense muito reconhecido e estimado. Hoje em dia muita gente considera ele o fundador da soul music.
Chamado de "The king of soul", o legado de Sam Cooke é vasto. Atingiu 29 vezes o Top 40 americano 1957 e 1965. Seus maiores sucessos são Cupid, You Send Me, A Change Is Gonna Come, Chain Gang, Wonderful World e Bring It On Home To Me.
