Racoon é uma banda de pop-rock holandesa formada em 1997. Bart van der Weide (vocal) e Dennis Huige (guitarra) ficaram de saco cheio do som da banda deles de hardcore "Vic'tem" e decidiram mudar para o acústico. Suas primeiras letras resultaram em uma música chamada Rapid Eye Movement. Para seu primeiro lançamento, um demo chamado “It’s an Ice Cream Day”, Stefan de Kroon (baixo) e Paul Bukkens (bateria) completaram a formação da banda.
