The Supremes foi um bem sucedido grupo feminino da Motown ativo de 1959 a 1977. Apresentava vários estilos musicais, como doo-wop, pop, soul, psicodelia e disco.
Uma das marcas registradas da Motown, The Supremes foi o mais famoso grupo musical negro dos anos 60, conhecida inicialmente como "Primettes", por volta de 1959, era uma banda vocal formada por: Barbara Martin, Diana Ross, Florence Ballard e Mary Wilson, emplacando 20 sucessos no Hot 100 da Billboard entre 1964 e 1969
