Biografia:
Orphaned Land é uma banda de oriental metal/doom metal/progressive metal fundada em Petah Tikva, Israel, no ano de 1991, onde se destacam suas influências de músicas tradicionais do Oriente Médio. Suas músicas são cantadas em árabe, hebraico, inglês, yemenita e dialetos de províncias do Oriente Médio.
Em 1991, ano de sua fundação, o nome da banda era Resurrection. Em 1992, depois de algum tempo passado á procura de um som próprio, a banda focou-se na cultura do Oriente Médio.
