A banda consistia de frontman Jesse Michaels (vocais), Tim Armstrong (creditado como "Lint") (vocal / guitarra), Matt Freeman (creditado como Matt McCall) (bass / apoio vocais), e Dave Mello (Bateria / apoio vocais) . O nome da banda, anteriormente abandonadas por um outro grupo Gilman, Isocracy, foi obtido a partir da série de testes nucleares Operação Ivy.
