Odetta Holmes, (31 de dezembro de 1930 – 2 de dezembro de 2008), conhecida como apenas Odetta, foi uma cantora, atriz, compositora e ativista dos direitos humanos norte-americana. Seu repertório musical consiste em folk music, blues, jazz e spiritual. Uma importante figura no American folk music revival dos anos 1950 e 60, ela foi influência musical e ideológica para muitas figuras chave do renascimento folk nesse tempo, incluindo Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Mavis Staples, and Janis Joplin.

These tabs are for the "Hit or Miss (Live)" version from the "It's Impossible" album. I
read online that Odetta favoured the Open D tuning, so I figured that was the best place
to start when figuring this out. Once you're tuned to Open D it's really rather simple.
You can also wing it with Standard tuning, it just doesn't sound quite as full and lovely. Also to make the A chord way easier simply play it barred on the 7th fret.
