Biografia:
Apresentando um som que quebra as fronteiras do rock alternativo e pop-emo, Mae (sigla para Experiência Multissensorial Estética) foi formada no início de 2001 pelo guitarrista Matt Beck, o baterista Jacob Marshall, baixista Mark Padgett, o tecladista Rob Sweitzer e o vocalista Dave Elkins. A banda inicialmente começou como um projeto entre Elkins e Marshall, os estudantes da Universidade Old Dominion, em Norfolk, VA. As sessões de gravação em estúdio foram feitas na casa de Padgett.
