Biografia:
The Teardrop Explodes foi formado em Liverpool, Inglaterra, em 1978 por Julian Cope, que anteriormente fazia parte da banda The Crucial Three, junto com Pete Wylie ( Wah! ) e Ian McCulloch (Echo & the Bunnymen).
Ficaram conhecidos pelo seu single de maior sucesso, "Reward", que entrou no top 10 dos charts britânicos. Lançaram dois discos de estúdio no início dos anos 80, sendo considerados um dos ícones cruciais da psicodelia no rock daquela década.
