---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Poor Scouser Tommy - (Made famous by the KOP Choir) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello all of you Liverpudlians, I am a Liverpudlian myself and I feel kinda sorry for the fact that this great chant hasen't got a chord or tab anywhere on the net, so here it is. I have made it myself, so if you got any corrections, please don't hesitate to contact me one way or another, so I can fix it. As some of you may know, the song has originally originated from the two traditionally songs: "Red River Valley" and "The Sash" but later on a last verse was added due to the embarrasing win to our merseyside rivals, the end verse just follows the Beatles song "All You Need is Love"
AEA Let me tell you the story of a poor boy E Who was sent far away from his home AD To fight for his king and his country AEA and also the old folks back home.
[Verse]
AEA So they put him in a highland division E Sent him off to a far, foreign land AD Where the flies swarm around in their thousands AEA and there was nothing to see but the sand.
[Verse]
AEA Well, the battle it started next morning E Under a Libyan Sun. AD I remember that poor scouser Tommy AEA he was shot by an old nazi gun.
[Verse]
AEA As he lay on the battlefield dying, dying, dying E with the blood gushing out of his head, of his head AD As he lay on the battlefield dying, dying, dying AEA These were the last words he said:-
GA7D7 All we need is Rush La la la la la GA7D7 All we need is Rush CD7G Rush is all we need, Rush is all we need G* (end of on A G-chord)
