Johan Renck es músico pop(como Stakka Bo),fotógrafo,pintor y director de videoclips,de spots y de cine independiente,Su carrera como director comenzó en 1992 cuando se unió a la compañía de producción Mekano Films and Television en Estocolmo, Suecia.
Es realizador de videoclips, en su cartera se encuentran cantantes y grupos como The Knife , Madonna,Robbie Williams,Kylie Minogue,Suede,Kent,The Streets,The Cardigans,Beyoncé, etc etc.
Como director de cine en el 2008 en Sundace fue seleccionado por su opera prima, Dowlonding Nancy.
