Biografia:
A jornada de Rhiannon, em um sentido mais amplo, começou na região de Piedmont da Carolina do Norte, onde ela foi criada—uma área com um rico legado de música old-time, preta e branca, que Rhiannon exploraria com profundidade após a faculdade. Ela conheceu seus colegas de banda originais do Carolina Chocolate Drops em 2005 no Black Banjo Gathering em Boone, Carolina do Norte, e foi educada na música tradicional de Joe Thompson de Piedmont
