O Rare Earth, responsável por uma saudável mistura de hard rock e black music, acabou ficando meio perdido em meio a vários grupos pesados dos anos 70, mas marcou época. Aqui no Brasil o grupo teve vários singles lançados e até mesmo uma música em trilha de novela - “I just want to celebrate” entrou na trilha da global Bandeira 2 (Som livre, 1972), que se notabilizou por trazer sucessos não menos marcantes de Michael Jackson (”Got to be there”)
