Biografia:
Quasi é uma banda norte-americana de indie rock formada no ano de 1993, em Portland, Oregon, por Sam Coomes (vocais, guitarra, roxichord e outros teclados) e Janet Weiss (bateria e vocais; tocou no defunto Sleater-Kinney e agora segue também com Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks). Os dois, que já foram casados, tentaram várias formações em suas primeiras apresentações, até optarem em ser uma dupla também ao vivo. Seu primeiro álbum gravado em equipamento semi-profissional, "R&B Transmogrification", foi lançado em 1997 pela Up Records.
