Biografia:
Opal foi uma banda de rock alternativo de Los Angeles, Estados Unidos, formada em 1983, inicialmente chamada Clay Allison. Essencialmente uma dupla entre dois músicos integrantes da cena local chamada Paisley Underground, David Roback (guitarra), do Rain Parade, e Kendra Smith (vocais, baixo), da banda The Dream Syndicate, com constantes mudanças de músicos de apoio, sendo o mais notável Keith Mitchell (bateria). Lançaram um single, dois EPs
