Karlzen’s career began in 1992 when an indie label owner offered to record her first album, “Mary Karlzen.” It was released regionally and established her as a unique new talent. Soon after, Atlantic Records signed her just as a wave of new female acts like Sheryl Crow and Jewel were exploding on the music scene. “Yelling at Mary” received outstanding reviews from The Washington Post, People Magazine, Musician Magazine, The Chicago Sun-Times, Billboard and dozens of other publications.

A LONG TIME AGO (Mary Karlzen & Mark Scandariato) ------------------------------------------------- [The G6 is probably played as plain G a lot of the time, but in the intro, it's clearly G6 (320030), so I'll assume that Mary plays it that way through the whole song.]
CCDDG6G6G6G6 You crossed my mind again today, I was out to get the mail CCDDG6G6G6G6 And I wondered if you think of me when you're riding the rails CCDDG6G6G6G6 And I wondered if you cared at all, sometimes I don't know CCDDG6G6G6G6 And I was hoping you could write to me, from a long time ago
CCDDG6G6G6G6 I had that dream again last night, we were back in Chicago CCDDG6G6G6G6 We were riding 'round and talking 'bout things you said I oughta know CCDDG6G6G6G6 And you told me how our life would be, and I'm learning that it's so CCDDG6G6 - G6/F# And I was hoping you could call me up at a long time ago
EmEmDDCCGG - G/F# And I think about that summer night when you said you'd always care EmEmDDCCD And I think about this lonely life when your words turn cold in the air DG6G6G6G6 And now the winter's almost here
CCDDG6G6G6G6 And you know that I would write a book, but the story's seldom told CCDDG6G6G6G6 Of a fool who'd go and walk the bridge back to a long time ago CCDDG6G6G6G6 So here I'm stuck in Santa Fe in a trailer by the road CCDDG6G6G6G6 With only dreams of yesterday and a long time ago CCD [hold] I have only dreams of yesterday and a long time ago GCDG.
