Backside of the Power Curve
D G D
The songs I write I have been told
A
Are like little chapters in a book
D G D
When finished turn the page
A D
And make another fold
G D
That has been my intent
A
All----- along
D G D
To offer little vignettes of my life
A D
And describe them in a song
D G D
Now we had a saying while learning to fly
A
That tested your judgment and your nerve
D G D
When making the final approach
A D
Avoid the backside of the power curve
G D
Once in that position and your touch-down spot
A
Is short of the runway- dash
D G D
There is no way to add enough power to reach it
A D
So????. ?.you ?. crash
G D
So I try to stay top side of the power curve
A
When I am writing and singing my songs
G D
Doesnt take much courage or much nerve
A D
To chop off the power when you are right on
G D
So take those little chapters
A
That make up the pages to my book
D G D
Hum them or sing them if thats what youre after
A D
And when you are finished, hang em on your own little hook
G D
Avoid the back side of the power curve
