The Kinks foi uma banda de rock britânica formada em Muswell Hill, ao norte de Londres, em 1963, por Ray Davies, Dave Davies e Pete Quaife.
A primeira e mais famosa formação era composta por Ray Davies (guitarra guia, vocalista principal, piano e compositor principal), Dave Davies (composições, guitarrista principal e vocais), Pete Quaife (baixo, backing-vocals) e Mick Avory (bateria).
Os Kinks foram uma das bandas mais influentes da chamada Invasão Britânica, ao lado dos Beatles, Rolling Stones e The Who.
