The Fray é uma banda de alternative rock norte-americana fundada em Denver, US em 2002 por Isaac Slade (voz e piano) e Joe King (guitarra e voz). Com o apoio de uma rádio local de Denver, o grupo gravou o seu primeiro álbum intitulado Movement. A banda The Fray foi eleita o « Melhor Grupo Novo » pela Denver's Westword Magazine e ocupou rapidamente os primeiros lugares dos tops da cidade de Denver. Graças a esse sucesso, o grupo assinou um contrato com Epic Release que produziu em Setembro de 2005 o seu álbum How to Save a Life.
