Biografia:
The 1975 é uma banda inglesa de rock alternativo de Manchester, formada em 2002. O grupo é composto por Matthew Healy (vocal/guitarra), Adam Hann (guitarra), George Daniel (bateria) e Ross MacDonald (baixo). Atualmente, Matt vem chamando John Waugh (saxofonista em algumas músicas) de "o novo integrante" em alguns shows.
O nome da banda foi escolhido a partir de um livro de poesias que Matt leu; o nome foi encontrado na página de trás do livro, onde estava escrito "1 June, The 1975".
