Stephen Lawrence Schwartz (nascido em 6 de março de 1948) é um letrista e compositor do teatro musical americano. Em 40 aos de carreira, Schwartz escreveu diversos musicais de sucesso, como Godspell (1978), Pippin (1972) e Wicked (2003). Ele também contribuiu com as letras de diversos grandes filmes, como Pocahontas (1995), O Corcunda de Notre Dame (1996), O Príncipe do Egito (1998: música e letras) e Encantada (2007). Schwartz ganhou o Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics
