Biografia:
Shawn Peter Raul Mendes nasceu em Toronto, Ontario, Canadá e foi criado em um subúrbio da cidade chamada Pickering. Ele começou a postar vídeos de covers no popular aplicativo Vine em 2012 e pegou milhões de visualizações e seguidores em questão de meses. Em menos de um ano depois, o canadense começou a postar seus covers na plataforma Youtube, atraindo centenas de fãs. Em Novembro de 2013, o empresário Andrew Gertler online, trazendo-o para a Island Records, porém, só assinou oficialmente com a gravadora em maio de 2014.
