Shaggy, nome artístico de Orville Richard Burrell, (Kingston, 22 de Outubro de 1968) é um cantor jamaicano de reggae e hip hop, foi morar em Nova Iorque na adolescência, cresceu como DJ e aos 18 anos foi morar com a mãe no Brooklyn. Shaggy será sempre lembrado pelo sucesso estrondoso da sua versão do tema de reggae dos anos 60, "Oh Carolina", (um original composto pelos Folkes Brothers para Prince Buster). Ficou mundialmente conhecido com duas de suas canções que fizeram um enorme sucesso no mundo todo, Angel e It Wasn't Me.
