Biografia:
Formada em Nottingham (Inglaterra) em 1991, tem como características básicas a voz personalíssima, anasalada e de barítono de Stuart Staples, emoldurada por uma orquestra de fundo extremamente luxuosa, basicamente soul e jazzy, que tem como principal artífice o arranjador, pianista e violinista Dickon Hinchliffe, e 4 outros componentes responsáveis pelos vários e sofisticados instrumentos que povoam os discos do grupo.
