Biografia:
O Klimt 1918 surgiu em Roma no ano de 1999, formado pelos irmãos Marco (vocais, guitarra) e Paolo Soellner (bateria), após o fim do primeiro projeto dos dois, uma banda de death metal chamada Another Day. As composições de Paolo passaram a ser influenciadas por grupos como o Bauhaus, The Cure e Joy Division, que ele havia descoberto recentemente. A banda lançou a primeira demo, 'Secession Makes Post-Modern Music', em 2000, junto com o baixista Davide Pesola e o guitarrista Francesco Tumbarello.
