Hot Tuna: Atum Quente. Alguém lembra quem são? Pois bem, o guitarrista e baixista do Jefferson Airplane, respectivamente Jorma Kaukonen e Jack Casady resolvem explorar sozinhos sua paixão pelo blues. Passam a abrir os shows do J. Airplane a partir de 1968 e depois se lançam aos seus próprios vôos. Durante a metade final da década de 70 já estavam com uma banda completa, totalmente elétricos. Já nos anos 90, novamente de bem com e fazendo parte da formação do Jefferson Starship
