A origem do Fine Young Cannibals vem da formação de uma outra banda, o The Beat, que em 1983 acabou e Andy Cox (guitarra) e David Steele (baixo), quiseram formar uma nova banda. Depois de mais de 500 cantores testados, lembraram do jovem Roland Gift (21 anos) que tinha trabalhado como vocal de apoio outrora. Roland com uma voz sem igual na Inglaterra era um diferente cantor

A beautiful song, played to a bossa nova rhythm on the recording. Sounds lovely in its' incarnation, even with the reverb drenched 80's production, and stays just as strong on solo acoustic guitar. Bliss!
