James Joseph Croce (Philadelphia, 10 de janeiro de 1943 – 20 de setembro de 1973), popularmente conhecido como Jim Croce, foi um compositor e cantor estadunidense. Começou sua carreira profissional tocando em bandas, quando era um estudante na universidade de Villanova, em 1964. No final dos anos 1960 a Capitol Records assinou Jim e sua esposa Ingrid a um contrato de gravação. Seu álbum foi um fracasso e Jim retornou a sua cidade natal e trabalhou por um tempo como motorista de caminhão.
