From the album "Transmitter Failure" There's a really short, cute version of her performing this song with a uke back up on You Tube, really sweet! Look it up! Enjoy!
CAm Well you're sitting on the barstool FC Keeping motionless as you can be CAm Thinking maybe if you lucky FCAm Life is like T-Rex and stillness will sweep you away GC To where its safe
CAm Cause you're feeling like the last person FC Left on the planet tonight CAm And your scanning the horizon FCAm Seeking out sign of life and you pray you're wrong but you're right GC So hold on tight
CAmFC Cause all that stares back at you are bloodless zombie eyes CAmFCAmF Why don't come on home with me tonight alright alright
AmGCF I'm not trying to make you think this is some kind of great big deal AmGC I just know exactly how you feel AmGCF I could be the one you reach for in the middle of the night AmGCF Let me be the one who treats you right AmGCF Let me be the one who treats you right
CAm Now I know you never seen me FC There's no reason for you to pay mine CAm But I'm asking very nicely FCAm All it takes is one chance to start leaving the dead behind GC And try out walking life
CAm What's the worst thing that could happen FC We find out that we don't fit CAm But on the flipside we could be just right FCAm And sure there's a chance that we'll both and up broken and split GC But thats my kind of risk
C So quit worrying where they'll fall if you should roll the dice CAmF Why don't you come home with me tonight alright alright
AmGCF I'm not trying to make you think this is some kind of great big deal AmGC I just know exactly how you feel AmGCF I could be the one you reach for in the middle of the night AmGC Let me be the one who treats you right AmGCF Let me be the one who treats you right AmGC Let me be the one who treats you right
