Compositor, vocalista, guitarrista, pianista e produtor Dan Wilson, ex-integrante da banda de rock alternativo norte-americana Trip Shakespeare e do Semisonic, cujos principais hits são Closing Time e Secret Smile.
Em 2007, Dan Wilson recebeu um Grammy de melhor música do ano por Not Ready to Make Nice, escrita com as Dixie Chicks. O último álbum delas, considerado também o melhor do ano, tem outras cinco composições em parceria com Wilson.
