This is a new song by Aaron Lewis that has been recently been written and performed live.
With the few Youtube posts out there he does change the words and the chords around on occasion.
You will see that the EM7 changes to a G and the D can go to a Dsus4.
Aaron Lewis is playing half step down with Capo on 7. Standard tuning works on Capo 6.
He also plays his G as a Gsus and Cadd9 as a Csus, (they both work and sound good)
G Dsus4
I might not go to heaven because I spent my time in hell
Em7 Cadd9
Never claimed to know the answers but I faked it pretty well
G Dsus4
And I walked straight through the valley full of shadows and the death
Em7 Cadd9
And I’ve learned a lot of lessons but they haven’t killed me yet
Chorus
G Cadd9 Dsus4
But I’ve lost it all, tried to make it through my pain
Em7 Cadd9 Dsus4
I’ve lost it all, It will never be the same
G D/F# Em7 Dsus4 Cadd9 Dsus4
And right now the only thing that’s left is sadness and the shame
Em7 Cadd9 Dsus4 G
I’ve lost it all, It will never be the same I’ve lost it all.
Cadd9, Dusu4, Em7,Cadd9
G Dsus4
Now I’ve heard so many stories full of sadness and regret
Em7 Cadd9
And I’ve learned a lot of answers to the things I couldn’t get
Cadd9, Dsus4, Em7,Cadd9
G Dsus4
Now somewhere in my darkness there shines a little light
Em7 Cadd9
A chance for me to be forgiven but I couldn’t get it right.
