King Creosote es el nombre artístico que utiliza el escocés Kenny Anderson. Es hermano de los mellizos Een (más conocido como Pip Dylan) y Gordon (uno de los integrantes de The Beta Band y ahora de The Aliens), y estuvo en un grupo de bluegrass llamado Skuobhie Dubh Orchestra (se pronuncia Scooby Doo), en el que KT Tunstall hacía los coros.
