. Parts of some songs are actually played using power chords (E5 = 022xxx) I tabbed these with full chords so whether they are Major or Minor doesn't make a huge difference. Whether you play power chords or the chords shown is your choice.
. When you see a line in the lyrics below another line with no chords or space in between, copy the chords for the line above. It's usually obvious what to play.
. For a few of the songs I dropped in the riff that makes it so catchy :-)
. Sometimes chords sound best as C-based chords e.g. E = x7645x (chord name = lowest note). For instance an Eb x68886 might sound too high or an F 133211 might sound too low, and could be replaced with Eb x6534x and F x8756x
. At the bottom I included simpler versions for some songs using a Capo. These are meant to simplify the song and minimise the amount of barre chords used.
BbmFm Let it never be said, that romance is dead CmEb Cause there’s so little else occupying my head BbmFm There is nothing I need except the function to breathe CmEb But I’m not really fussed, doesn’t matter to me

C#m
C#mBbmAF# (x2)
C#mBbmAF# I can prove anything, I'll make you admit again and again, that C#mBbmAF# I can prove anything, the way that it's read again and again
BbmC# And it's only cos you came here with your brothers too FmBbm If you came here on your own you'd be dead BbmC# It's only cause you follow what the others do FmBbm It's no excuse to say your easily lead
C#mBbmAF# You could choose anything, you choose to lose again and again You could do anything, why should you do anything again
BbmC# And its only cause you came here with your brothers too FmBbm If you came here on your own you'd be dead BbmC# You're winding yourself up until your turning blue FmBbm Repeating everything that you read
G#F#Fm So here we go with the letter G#F#Fm Well can you fix it for me BEbmC# Because we need entertainment B To keep us all off the streets BC#EbmC#B So tonight you'll sleep softly in your bed
C#mBbmAF# You can try anything, and no-one would know apart from you and me You can stop anything, it's starts with just one and turns to two then three
BbmC# It's only cos you came here with your brothers too FmBbm If you came here on your own you'd be dead BbmC# Raise a glass or two, you raise a fist or two FmBbm And get a shopping basket wrapped round your head
G#F#Fm So here we go with the letter G#F#Fm Oh can you fix it for me BEbmC# 24 hour drinking B To keep us all off the streets BC#EbmC#B So tonight you'll sleep softly in your bed
BmDGF# (x2)
Bm We are the angry mob D We read the papers everyday G We like who we like
We hate who we hate F# But we're all so easily swayed
FmCmC#BbmCm I can just imagine you and me, running out of steam, going through the motions FmCmC#BbmCm I have no idea how you know, when I dip my toes, in other people's oceans
FmEb You have local knowledge Of the local area C#Cm And that impressed me quite, so I tried that night FmEb We did things I thought you'd like but that just made it worse C#Cm And I impressed you not well not a lot
Bbm So we start it from the start
FmCm When the heat dies down I'll be back in town C#Bbm And until that time I'll be round at mine FmCm When the heat dies down I'll be back in town C#Bbm And until that time I'll be round at mine FmCmC#Bbm When the heat dies down, when the heat dies down FmCmC#Bbm When the heat dies down, when the heat dies down
FmCmC#Bbm (x4)
FmCmC#BbmCm I can not imagine growing old to have and to hold til death do part each other Cos I doubt I could storm at 20 years, spending time at hers, talking to that mother
FmEb I've got wider knowledge of the world C#Cm I just can't face another argument about the rent It all seems unimportant in the grander scheme of things Cause I was purpose built to not feel guilt
Bbm So we end it at the end
FmCm When the heat dies down, I'll be back in town, C#Bbm And until that time, I'll be round at mine When the heat dies down, I'll be back in town, And until that time, I'll be round at mine FmCmC#Bbm When the heat dies down, when the heat dies down When the heat dies down, when the heat dies down

AGFA I remember nights out when we were young, they weren't very good they were rubbish AGFA Running round Highroyds isn't fun, just teenagers testing their courage AGFA Standing outside nightclubs in the snow, is not very cool or impressive AGFA They let in all the girls from the year below, no need for ID's with those dresses
A* BABGB Got news from afar, from a girl who knows who we are DBA* She's still got my dinner money, she can keep it
EGA (x8)
AGFA Never had a fight that we haven't lost, we're not very tough or athletic Once I had a boxing champ in a headlock, when he gets out I'll regret it
A* BABGB Got keys to a car, picked up a girl from Boston Spa DBA* For fast food and cinema, it's not worth it BABGB Got word from down south, well he'd have heard about it word of mouth DBA* We haven't much stayed in touch, since Highroyds
BA* BA*
EGA (x8)
AGFA Let it go, live alone and I won't know, cause no-one's gonna tell me but a friend But he is gone and everybody went along, and nobody was left here in the end

CmEbGmF I won't be the one to disappoint you anymore CmEbGmF And I know I've said all this and that you've heard it all before CmEbGmF The trick is getting you to think that all this was your idea CmEbGmF And that this was everything you've ever wanted out of here
G#Gm Love's not a competition but I'm winning
CmEbGmF I'm not sure what's truly altruistic anymore, CmEbGmF When every good thing that I do is listed and you're keeping score,
G#Gm Love's not a competition but I'm winning G#Gm Love's not a competition but I'm winning
