Biografia:
John Powell (18 de Setembro de 1963) é um compositor inglês de trilhas de cinema. Vive em Marina Del Rey em Los Angeles.
Inicialmente treinou como violinista enquanto criança antes de estudar em Trinity College of Music de Londres. Mais tarde, se aventurou nos ritmos de jazz e rock tocando numa banda de soul “The Fabulistics”. Durante a faculdade, compôs músicas para comerciais enquanto realizou trabalho como assistente do compositor Patrick Doyle em diversos filmes, incluindo Muito barulho por Nada.
