James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (Seattle, Estados Unidos, 27 de Novembro de 1942 -- Londres, 18 de Setembro de 1970), foi um guitarrista, cantor, compositor e produtor que é amplamente considerado um dos mais importantes guitarristas da história do rock. Como guitarrista, se inspirou nas inovações de músicos do blues tais como B. B. King, Albert King e T-Bone Walker, assim como nos guitarristas de R&B (rhythm and blues) tais como Curtis Mayfield.
