Depois de se firmar como um aclamado ator, diretor e produtor, resolve voltar a sua carreira solo. O rapper gastou a maior parte do tempo entre os anos de 1998 e 2000 trabalhando em seus dois álbuns, War & Peace - Volume 1 (The War Disc) e War & Peace - Vol. 2 (The Peace Disc).
O primeiro volume "War", foi lançado em 17 de Novembro de 1998 pela Priority Records, e o segundo, "Peace", em 21 de Março de 2000.
