Filho de pais separados, Frank Anthony Thomas Iero Jr. cresceu e viveu em Belleville, bairro da cidade de New Jersey, nos Estados Unidos da América, com sua mãe, Linda Pricolo. Seu pai e seu avô são músicos profissionais e é dai que vem a influência para a música.
