Fences é a criação de cantor / compositor Christopher Mansfield.
Em 2009, seu EP foi descoberto via MySpace por Sara Quin da banda indie canadense popular, Tegan & Sara , que acabou produzindo , gravação e acrescentando vocais de seu álbum de estréia. [2] O álbum de estréia fez a revista SPIN lista de fim de ano de "Álbuns você pode ter faltado", em 2010.
