In the Ghetto - Elvis Presley
(Interpreted by ROCKGEBIET)
Standard guitar tuning. We arrenged the Song in C and not in the orig. key, and we play
version with Lisa Marie and Elvis.
To get the typical hammer on/pull of sound I use the open C-chord and put one finger of
fret on the thin E String. In the chords I write this as the following: Csus4
Try it and have fun!!!
[Intro]
C Csus4
C Csus4
As the snow flies

On a cold and grey chicago mornin'

F G C

Are we too blind to see,
F Em F G
Do we simply turn our heads and look the other way
C Csus4
Well the world turns
Em
And a hungry little boy with a runny nose
F G
Plays in the street as the cold wind blows
C Csus4
In the ghetto
C Csus4

F C
A young man breaks away

In the ghetto
C Csus4
And as her young man dies,

In the ghetto
C Csus4
And his mama cries
