Dashboard Confessional é uma banda estadunidense de Rock, de Boca Raton, Flórida, liderada pelo compositor e guitarrista, Chris Carrabba (ex-vocalista da banda Further Seems Forever).
O Dashboard Confessional lançou seu primeiro EP, Drowning, The Swiss Army Romance, em 2000, e no ano seguinte seu primeiro álbum: The Places That You Have Come To Fear The Most. Ainda em 2001, lançaram outro EP, "So Impossible".
Em 2002 ganharam um prêmio durante o MTV Video Music Awards, realizado pela MTV2, graças a música Screaming Infidelities.
