Nascida Chantal Thelma-Ramupriya Kreviazuk em 18 de maio de 1974, é uma cantora e compositora canadense. Aos três anos de idade, Chantal começou a tocar piano, no qual foi muito encorajada por sua mãe. Em 1994 encontrava-se na Itália, quando sofreu um acidente de motocicleta. Foi então que percebeu que já era tempo de levar a sério seu talento para a música. Em 1996, finalmente assinou contrato com a Sony Canada, onde lançou seu primeiro álbum, "Under These Rocks and Stones" no Canadá, e posteriormente em 1997, nos EUA.
