Nascido em Michgan, em 14 de Novembro de1970, Brendan Benson é um músico e compositor estadunidense. Além de cantar, ele toca guitarra, baixo, teclado e bateria.
Benson já tem planos para abrir sua própria gravadora.
Tem quatro álbuns solos gravados, e o próximo já tem sua data definida em 2012.
As maiores influências musicais de Benson incluem The Cars, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Electric Light Orchestra, Elvis Costello, The Kinks, Robyn Hitchcock, Paul McCartney e Todd Rundgren.
