Biografia:
El cantante de reggae jamaicano Beres Hammond inflluenciado por el R&B y las tendencias musicales jamaicanas de los 60 comenzó a cantar con Zap Pow a finales de los 70 pero rápidamente se lanzó en solitario. Después de la grabación dió un paso asombroso durante los años 80 y los años 90, explorando estilos tan variados como dancehall y el hip-hop. Él nunca se enganchó con ningun sello discografico, grababa en su propia casa de Jamaica. "In Control" de 1994, sin embargo, fue registrado para Elektra y distribuido internacionalmente.
